ASUS emphasizes that the latest ZenBook Flip is one of the thinnest in the world, and we can only agree. The device is just 10.9mm thick and weighs a fraction over 1.1KG. Those are impressive figures for a device with specifications that are in the higher segment. Although the ZenBook Flip S is available in multiple configurations, our test model has an Intel Core i5 CPU at 2.5GHz and 8GB of RAM. In terms of storage, you have 256GB at your disposal. More than sufficient for productive work.
Housing
The housing is made of high-quality aluminum, given a beautiful and discreet Royal Blue color by ASUS, with a thin gold trim that separates the display and keyboard. This design is carried throughout the entire device, making the notebook visually appealing.
Notably, the ErgoLift hinges allow you to position the notebook effortlessly in any angle you desire. Moreover, they are thin and beautifully integrated into the housing. No matter how you work, the hinges never protrude from the notebook's design and remain sturdy, which we have seen differently, especially with 2-in-1 systems.
Ports and fingerprint scanner
In terms of ports, you have a USB-C port on both sides plus a microphone and headphone port on the left side. Notably, on the right side, you find the power button plus volume buttons, which shows that ASUS has truly considered users who primarily use the device in tablet mode.
It's nice how ASUS has integrated the fingerprint scanner into the ZenBook Flip S. It is also located on the side and is extremely thin, yet accurate. We hope this becomes a trend, as sacrificing space for this on the keyboard itself is unnecessary.
Display
The display is a 13.3-inch screen with backlit LED and a resolution of 1920 x 1080, although there is also a version available with a 4K display. In terms of colors and viewing angles, you have nothing to complain about; they are exceptionally good.

Work the way you want
As mentioned, you can position the notebook in any position you desire. A tent mode, for example, to clarify something to colleagues, or tablet mode to take notes with the ASUS pen. Everything works well, although the (unjustified) fear of damaging the keyboard remains when we place the device down in tablet mode. But we understand that the slim design of the notebook does not allow for a retracting system, so we can't really complain about that.
Speaking of the keys, the keyboard types wonderfully, with a 1mm travel for the keys. The touchpad, which is notably large for the size of the device, also performs its job well. The battery lasts about 11 hours, but that is with average use. If you work at full power, expect around eight hours. Is that bad? No, because the system supports fast charging, so within a short hour, you can charge the battery to 60 percent.
ASUS ZenBook Flip S (UX370UA)
We talk much more often than before about design in notebooks. Logical, because practically all manufacturers understand nowadays that the eye also wants something. However, ASUS was one of the first to bring sleek and refined design into practice with the ZenBook and continues to uphold that standard with the latest model. Combined with good specifications and a lightweight yet durable housing, the ZenBook Flip S is the 2-in-1 you can't overlook.
