The ASUS ZenScreen MB16A is a mobile monitor with a diagonal of 15.6 inches that you connect via USB. The display features an IPS panel with a resolution of 1920x1080. The ZenScreen also comes with a smart cover that protects the display and can also be folded into a stand. This way, you can set the display down calmly while giving a presentation, or someone can take the display in hand while you clarify things from behind your notebook.
Housing

The housing is particularly sturdy, which is what you would expect from a mobile display. However, this does not lead to a 'bulky' housing. Instead, ASUS has managed to keep the device slim with a weight of around 780 grams, while the device is still reasonably large. In terms of thickness, the device is about 8mm thick. This makes it an attractive second display to take anywhere. After all, if you have space for a notebook, you can easily add this screen.
Features
In terms of features, you don’t have many options, but let’s be honest: you don’t need them either. This display simply replicates the screen of the device to which you have connected the ZenPad and nothing more. The screen does not have touch control, something that the form factor of the ZenPad hints at with an inviting tablet shape. However, you can activate automatic rotation on the device with the help of some software from ASUS. Presentations can thus be given in both landscape and portrait mode, which is nice when you want to convey a lot of information in length.
Calm image
It’s nice that ASUS has also thought of mobile workers who use the display as a second screen and may work on the display for longer periods. We already mentioned the rotation feature where portrait mode is very pleasant for reading longer texts. That is absolutely possible, as ASUS has built anti-flicker technology into the display. Add the low blue light feature, and you have a great screen to work on continuously.
Dependent
If we have to mention a downside, it would be the lack of a battery and perhaps an extra option to cast wirelessly. The absence of these things can be explained. For example, the lack of a battery is the reason that the device is so slim and light despite its size. It does drain your notebook a bit faster, but this is limited by the absence of extra functions such as wireless casting. As far as we are concerned, a good concession.
ASUS ZenScreen MB16A
When you travel a lot and still want to have a second monitor to work on or to give presentations, the ASUS ZenScreen MB16A is a great option. You don’t have many functionalities at your disposal, but you don’t need them if you just want a second display.
